In the summer of 2005, while living in Mexico, Phil Cordelli and I hitchhiked from Guanajuato to the state of San Luis Potosi. When we got to the town of Charcas we were no longer able to get rides. These works were inspired by observations made during the 15 mile walk into the surrounding desert.
